Today is a special day for TWO reasons! Firstly, and most importantly, it is Little Poppet's Birthday Party. She turns THREE on Monday so we're having a party on Sunday (which is why this post was written Saturday and scheduled for Sunday). Tomorrow will be a BIG post for Little Poppet!

The second reason is I have been specially chosen from a list of anyone who offered very select people to Guest Blog for my friend Renee! Remember Kellsey? Her sister, Kennedy (a 'Sincess') is taking her family to Disney for a week! Hmmm, should have offered to be their au pair.

So, if you haven't read my Guest Blog post on My Special K's, you need to go there NOW before reading the rest of this post. I'm not just trying to get you to see 'my name in lights', no, the rest of this post won't make much sense to someone who hasn't been there first!

So, once you've been there, done that... I will proceed.

The King. I've mentioned the Kingdom of Lovely in my Guest Blog and felt that, well, people probably don't want to know. So, I had nothing better to blog about am here to tell you all about him. Yes, Danny Wallace is the King of the newest country (who attempted to be recognised as a real country in the EU). His country is located in his flat London.

I'm not openly admitting to being a geek, but we did watch the BBC series back in 2006 when he began his quest to become a country. I haven't seen any of his other projects since.

Since that time (or maybe before that time, who knows? You will if you read the Wikipedia article for accurate details) one of his books was made into a film. Yes, Man. Perhaps you've heard of this or even seen it. I haven't seen it because the last film I saw was more than 3 years ago when I went to the 'new' Star Wars film prior to Little Poppet being born. Of course, I went because the Mr. wanted to see it and he, very unlike me, had seen the previous films. I am the only person on earth who has never seen any of the original Star Wars films.

At any rate, Yes, Man stars Jim Carrey as Danny Wallace's character (named Carl in the film). Not sure how this nutter from London got Jim Carrey to play him lol but this gives me hope to have someone Emma Thompson-like play me in a film about me some day. I suppose I should do something 'filmworthy' soon or she'll be far too old for make-up and lighting to allow her to play me (given she has 20+ years on me and I look 17). As it is I should probably find someone else to play current or younger me and she can play me 'in the future'. Of course, again... not sure what the film will be about other than 'random blog person' and I'm just not certain if that would be 'box office' enough to get someone like her in the role. Well, if it is going to be I'd better start blogging more often or it will be terribly short!

At any rate, I am giving Danny Wallace far too much face time but here is another of his songs. He had hoped to be entered in Eurovision with this song, which I thought you would enjoy. It may get the tune from the song on Renee's blog out of your head but it will only replace it with this so... for that I apologise.

Here is what Wikipedia said about the Eurovision attempt...

Wallace attempted to submit a song of his own composition, Stop The Mugging And Start The Hugging, as the Lovely entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. The contest's scrutineer, Svante Stockselius, met with Wallace and was sympathetic to his cause but informed him that Lovely could not enter the Contest as it has no national television or radio station of its own and therefore could not join the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Wallace then submitted his song to the BBC (which is an EBU member which supports the UK entry to the contest), in an attempt to receive their backing — their judges, however, were unimpressed.

Here is the song... no need to send me hate mail thank me.
